Lucky Lucky Numbers !

Lucky Numbers can go well at Haydock on Thursday in the Class 4 handicap over 5f with James Sullivan booked to ride, he will be taking off a valuable 5lb. Lucky Numbers is well handicapped on his best form and he also goes well with give in the going and thats just what he will hopefully get.
I dont think he has run in a Class 4 for a while so he will appreciate the drop in class and the race doesnt look as though it will take much winning. The only thing that may be against him is the distance as he is usually better at 6f but he hopefully will be too good for these.

  1. With 7 runs from his last 11 rated by RPR better than his Official Rating of OR80 and with going in his favour (even so, more rain would be welcome) and with Paul Green having his stable in form, this looks a decent wager at current odds of 10/1. He has run in a couple of Class 4's recently but over 7f (too far) and on Good-to-Firm (too quick). A return to the form of his Class 4 run last 31-Aug at Ripon when he ran off OR85 and recorded RPR88 would be enough today - he had plenty of future winners behind him that day.

  2. A further problem has come to light in that he is drawn 1 and there is fast strip of ground right up the stands rail where everyone will head for, so he might end up out on a limb.

  3. He is now down to 6/1 and the value has gone it would seem, he may drift out again pre race.

  4. Another win for this blog with Lucky Numbers who won well at Haydock. If you go back through my selections and you had followed them all to date you'd be well up !
James Sullivan is riding at the top of his game and with great confidence too, he is well worth his 5lb claim and this stable, amongst others, has cottoned on to it.
