Spencer to conjure up the Numbers ?

Jamie Spencer has a good record when riding for Paul Green and he is 5-12. At Ripon in the 5.30 Class 4 Handicap he partners Lucky Numbers whom he rode to finish 2nd at Pontefract last season off the same mark. Lucky Numbers himself is usually better with a bit of cut but that should be offset by having Spencer on board. The stables horses have been going very well and they look set for another good year and Lucky Numbers should be fit enough to do himself justice on this his first run of the season.
Its not a particularly strong race on paper however we may see some improvement from Invincible Lad who has been switched to David Nicholls and he is on a handy mark as he was only 2 3/4 lengths behind Astrophysical Jet at Newmarket last July off a 5lb higher mark despite not handling the dip and Michael O'Connell takes off a further 3lb, although Adrian Nicholls is aboard the stables other runner Di Stefano.
Great Charm has the beating of Coolminx and Medici Time on his run in the Ayr Bronze Cup and is better off at the weights with the former and the talented William Buick has been booked and he should take them along in front and should be bang there at the finish.
At the time of writing the bookies although having priced up the first divison of this race have been slow to do the same in relation to this and looking at the odds on betfair there might be a bit of value to be had about Invincible Lad if he runs anywhere near his best form.
