A Storm is a brewing !

Noble Storm is fairly treated by the weights in the Class 3 Conditions Stakes at Nottingham over 5f at 7.50 and he can dominate the race from the front. Masta Plasta and Five Star Junior look set to give him the most to do, however the selection should have further improvement on this better going and his stable know how to handle a good sprinter.

  1. A vital move by Adrian Nicholls to bag the rail and as expected he and Five Star Junior proved to be the main challengers to the selection who may have been done a bit for toe in this on his first run for a few months.

  2. On analysing the race a bit further it looked as though Noble Storm slightly missed the break but the winner won so well you couldnt even imagine that making a difference.
One thing is for sure the Nicholls horses remain on fire after their scintillating Goodwood week and everyting looks rosy for the The Great St Wilfred on Saturday, where they will rely on TAJNEED who was unlucky last time out and on the face of it ran a cracker in the circumstances (worth a look if you havent seen it). No doubt he will have several others in the race and 6f could bring about a good run from the old boy Indian Trail, particularly if Fallon is booked.

  3. I was watching the race - took your advice and had a wager on Noble Storm - and it looked like Graham Gibbons tried to anticipate the stalls opening and Noble Storm went for it (you can see his hind legs pushing back) but as the stalls didn't open he bounced back. So yes, he did miss the break. Whether he would have run a better race had he grabbed the rail is open to speculation.
