Lady of the Desert looks to have an excellent chance of winning the Qatar Prix De L'Abbaye this afternoon at Longchamp provided she has overcome last weeks run at Ascot. She won there with some authority from the french raider Dalghar and she has had a pretty light season compared to some of the others running today so she should be fresh enough. She has a very good draw in stall 3 and she should be able to follow the pace before pouncing late to take the spoils. Her trainer sees no real problems with the very soft ground and she handled the cut at Ascot with little problem and the iceman Richard Hughes who has been in great form all season takes the ride. Of course this is no one horse race and not only is she a filly but she is also a 3yo so she does have some stats against her.
Planet Five, Moorhouse Lad (b1), Judge 'N Jury and Marchand D'or all have sound reasons for going well and should have place claims, however taking everything into account Lady of the Desert should run a very big race as she comes into it in fine form.
