Windsor Wager !

Equuleus Pictor ran well at Windsor last time out over 5f when coming with a strong run under Cathy Gannon to finish a 3 1/4 lenth fifth to Taurus Twins after suffering some interference. That race was run in a course record time and it was his first run for 111 days, he is well handicapped on his old form at present. He had previously shown his best with cut in the ground so it was a suprise to see him run so well on Good to Firm here last time. The step up to 6f  could see him finishing even better and he could well get up this time from a good draw in stall 3 and 10/1 is a fair price.

  1. This looks a tough race. Personally, I see that HAND PAINTED has dropped to OR67 from a high of OR76 despite running consistently well last season and over the winter. He would be my eachway pick.

  2. Unfortunately Equulous Pictor could only finish 4th and with two Non Runners we just miss out on a place and we were pipped by Wayward Lad's ew selection Hand Painted. The winner though looked to be in a different class and he will feature in next weeks Up a bit, down a bit post.

  3. Robert Gibb's blog at really hit the nail on the head! He spotted that the winner Spanish Bounty had dropped from OR90 last season to OR75 - yet he'd been running on unsuitable soft going! As he usually improves for a run, he could be one to follow-up.
