Tricky Handicap at Redcar

The 4.00 at Redcar looks a tricky 5f sprint despite the small field, Diman Waters is one of my horses to follow, however after showing promise first time out this season he then had blinkers applied for his next run but may not have appreciated those as they are left off here. He has been dropped 1lb and he is capable of further improvement based on last years form but if Ishetoo recaptures his old form then he may have his work cut out to win. Ishetoo runs here off a mark of 76, he was only 2 3/4 lengths behind Captain Dunne last June off 10lb higher mark over 5f on Good to Firm and they are his key requirements to show his best form and that is what he gets here, plus he has the assistance of the champion jockey and 8/1 is a decent ew price about his chance. Bronze Baeu was given a harsh penalty for his win when he had the run of the race and he may struggle with the 8lb extra. Pavershooz isnt particularly well in with Ishetoo and Hamoody may have his sights set on Glorious Goodwood again.
If Ishetoo does run like his old self then the 8/1 on offer is good value and I would do him ew at the price and also have him in an Exacta with Diman Waters.
